ABOUT OUR CAKES:
All our cakes are made with 100% coconut oil - the healthiest oil on earth. We also use raw cane sugar which still retains minerals and vitamins originally in the sugar cane plant. We use organic whole grain spelt flour. This is ancient flour that was used by the ancient Egyptians and ancient Romans and is the 'mother' of wheat. It contains more protein and fibre than wheat and also has ingredients that stimulate the body's immune system. Even though it contains gluten, it can often be tolerated by gluten intolerant people because it is whole and unadulterated. For those of you who need to avoid all gluten and wheat we use a natural gluten/wheat free blend from the Doves Farm company.
These wholesome ingredients give our cakes a slightly darker colour – you can just see the goodness bursting out.
There are no preservatives or anything nasty in our cakes - they are handmade and healthy with a natural shelf life of 2 weeks when kept refrigerated, and they can be frozen.
Celebrate with a cake
We will design all your celebration cakes, including photo cake toppers. With these you can have either your favourite photograph on the cake, printed onto edible icing sheets, or perhaps a cartoon character. In fact, whatever can be found on a computer can be printed onto your cake. About a diabetic cake (low GI)
All the cake flavours we make can be made diabetic friendly. We use agave nectar instead of raw cane sugar. We have now perfected a diabetic friendly frosting too! This is made with fructose. We can now also provide sugar free photo cake toppers using rice paper.
About a gluten free and wheat free cake
Our wheat and gluten free cakes are made with a blend of flour which consists of rice, tapioca, potato, maize, sarrasin & carob flours, sugar beet fibre, xanthan gum, buckwheat and maize. These cakes are made with coeliacs* in mind.
(If you are wheat intolerant, rather than allergic to wheat & gluten, perhaps you could try our other cakes which are made with spelt flour. Although spelt contains gluten, many people who normally cannot eat wheat & gluten are able to tolerate it as it is a wholesome and unadulterated flour.)

*pls note that all cakes are made in an environment that contains spelt flour, but we do our best to keep them separate, and always bake the gluten free cakes first thing in the morning.
NB: It's best to have your cake delivered the day before you need it, or earlier. This should avoid any delay and upset (remember they have a 2 week shelf life).
